Ms. Perkins specializes in representing a wide variety of business clients including accounting firms and their personnel in matters involving accountant malpractice, professional liability, employment and commercial business advising and litigation, and regulatory defense. She also devotes a significant portion of her practice to assisting clients in developing loss prevention strategies and managing the day-to-day issues related to the operation of the clients' business or practice.

Ms. Perkins has a statewide practice serving both Northern and Southern California.

Ms. Perkins is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Sacramento County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the Association of Northern California Defense Counsel, Member to the American Institute for Certified Public Accountant's (AICPA), 2008-2009 Relations with the Judiciary Subcommittee and Non-CPA Associate Member of the California Society of CPAs. She formerly belonged to the Association of Corporate Counsel and was a member of its Insurance Practices Committee.

From 1990-1994, Ms. Perkins served as Senior Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel of Ernst & Young in Los Angeles, California. In this position, Ms. Perkins represented and advised firm management in various federal securities, accounting, business, employment, regulatory and civil matters.

Ms. Perkins has authored numerous publications relating to accountant’s liability and employment best practices matters. She has also been a profiled speaker and panelist at numerous seminars and presentations pertaining to accounting liability, risk management, loss prevention and employment practices and she has taught employment practices course work for the California Society of CPAs. Ms. Perkins has tried and mediated numerous matters. She also has extensive experience serving private sector clients, including small to large privately held companies and businesses by providing advice in connection with myriad legal and compliance issues. Ms. Perkins also has broad experience representing clients in connection with securities litigation, as well as assisting clients in connection with federal and state regulatory investigations and other regulatory matters, including, among others, those initiated by in various states Boards of Accountancy, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, the Department for Urban Housing and Development, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JEEP).
